Admission Criteria
Although there are exceptions, generally the admissions process is as follows
Admission Criteria All applicants must meet the admission criteria:
Pre-Admission: The Pre-Admission Application must be completed in full and submitted to The O’Neill Centre (application will be provided at applicants request). The information will assist the staff in determining the appropriateness of The O’Neill Centre’s Retirement Units’ level of care.
- If the applicant does not meet the admission criteria, The O’Neill Centre staff will contact the applicant and offer referrals to a more appropriate level of care. We will be contacting you periodically during the time that you are on the waiting list to determine if you still qualify for The O’Neill Centre’s Retirement Unit. Also, please contact us if you have a change of condition.
Admission: After reviewing the applicant’s entire file to determine if the applicant is approved for admission, the applicant will be notified and an admission date will be established. If the applicant does not meet the admission criteria, the staff will contact the applicant and offer referrals to a more appropriate level of care.
